The Minerals and our Electrical Body

There is a large problem facing most of the population today – mineral deficiency. This relates to the quantity of energy on the electrical charge in our bodies. The flow at which other electricity flows is controlled by the body’s pH balance.

Food today – our local grocery store is not what it used to be. From around 1960s the iron in spinach has dropped so drastically you would have to eat at least 76 bowlfuls of spinach to get the same amount of iron as one bowlful would have given you back in 1948. Hence the need for supplementation has increased.

Agriculture has changed – minerals and nutrients are taken out of the soil. This in turn affects the yield of the crop. Fertilisers were developed which helped to get the crop yields back up.

Problem? Chemical fertilisers grow crops nice and big, but it does this with the barest of nutrients. So by the time it reaches your table the food offers very little of the minerals you will need for optimum health.

In the body complex biochemical processes take place. This is to try to keep the blood ph as near to perfect as possible. This is referred to as the ph buffering system. The buffering system needs a good balance of mineral to keep them working effectively. Inadequate mineral intake can lead to an imbalance with our pH levels. If this happens life can become miserable indeed. It could be a case of pick the disease, choose your arthritic, high blood pressure, diabetes, angina, allergies, obesity, anorexia, sexual dysfunction etc. One of the basic things that stands between you and optimum health is your body’s pH metabolic balance.

On the subject of minerals do you know that minerals could be more important than vitamins. Without minerals you would not have the co-enzymes which help vitamins to function, thereby disabling them to do their job. Many minerals are referred to as trace minerals which doesn’t really give them the status they deserve, but nothing could be further from the truth. Being deficient in minerals has wide health implications. Below are a few examples:

• Age spots can be due to a lack of selenium
• Supplementing with chromium and vanadium can help in the prevention of diabetes and in some cases have been shown to reverse it, as vanadium is reported to replace insulin.
• Now ageing skin, wrinkles, grey hair, loose sagging skin, even varicose veins is said to be deficiency in low copper.
• Magnesium is the missing link when it comes to minerals. It is the most important one for the reduction in coronary heart disease – I will be exploring much more with you on magnesium, from the work of Dr Mark Sircus AC OMD, author of Transdermal Magnesium.
• Male pattern baldness can be contributed to?? deficiency – and of course diet and hormones.
• Ladies boron helps preserve estrogens. It keeps calcium in the bones/ you will be more alert. It can help to eliminate arthritis and help men to keep testosterone.
