The body’s ph regulating system
The human blood stream, in medical physiology is recognised as a biochemical balance. pH is the acronym for “potential hydrogen.” It’s the concentration of hydrogen ions in the solution or the substance.
The measurement is on a logarthitmic scale 0 to 14. When the number is high its means the substance is more alkaline. When the number is low its means the substance is more acidic, which makes it less potential for absorbing hydrogen ions.
Electrical and biochemical reactions are under pH control. If say something has a low acid pH we say it is hot and fast. Let’s take a car battery, its acid when the days are cold. You want the battery to be hot and ready because you want the car to start straight away.
Alkaline pH bio-chemically speaking is slow and cool. Compare it to an alkaline battery in a flash light. You want hat battery to be cool and to burn slow.
When you look around society, in general people seem exhausted and burned out. They get angry easily and there seems to be a rise in violence? This could be due to the fact that most people lean towards (acidity). I have a view that the rise in violence in our society and the increasing number of fast food restaurants on every street corner doesn’t help. So if we agree that what we put into our mouth effects our pH then we need to be more mindful. The body’s pH controls the activity of every metabolic function in the body. The way our bodies utilise enzymes + vitamins and minerals is down to correct pH balance. The body’s electrical system and the intracellular activity depend on this.
Everything we eat is directly attached to the function of the digestive system from the small intestine through to the large colon.
You may be thinking this makes perfect sense, why doesn’t modern medicine look at this? Simple put together 2+2 bring the body back to balance through the food that we eat.
